About The Game
Starlight is a casual 2D puzzle game created for a Game Jam with the theme Black and White!
As an astronomer at Starlight Observatory, one of your many tasks is charting stars in the night sky. With the help of your trusty ol' telescope, navigate through the darkness to pinpoint as many constellations from your deck of constellation cards as possible before the sun rises.
Controls
Move your mouse to move the telescope around
Left click to select star
Right click to deselect star
Tab to open and close constellation chart reference
Theme Reflection
With the colour palette of this Game Jam being limited to black and white, this high-contrast played a crucial role in both aesthetics and mechanics for Starlight. In addition to the already-challenging action of finding the right stars amidst the clutter of all the other constellations, having a timer in the form of a day-night cycle adds a new level of urgency to the gameplay, with the contrast between sky and stars becoming increasingly less-sharp and thus, more difficult to navigate as time runs out.

As someone who loves constellations and cosmic themed games, this was a delight to play! It's educational and fun, the telescope mechanic really hones in on what you were going for! ^^
I really love this concept and i've never really seen anything like it! The design made it feel very chill and cozy. And very unique way of designing the timer using the moon turning into the sun. Very good addition :D
very fun & shockingly challenging game! the mechanics are very unique, & the visual direction is lovely ! i love how bubbly and comfy it feels, it really suits the atmosphere, & has a fun contrast with the stress of the game itself
